A bit of their story:
“We met in high school, and had a very love /hate relationship. We pretended like we were worst enemies, but deep down I think we both knew how we really felt. We graduated and went on with our lives, then two years later we went to a bar on Saint Patrick's Day ( we were only 20, sorry mom!!) and we have been together ever since. He never really asked me out officially, but we went on a date to this amazing restaurant in Brooklyn, Patrizia's (highly suggest if you're ever in the area). His dad was living in Brooklyn at the time, so we stopped by his house and he introduced me as his girlfriend and that's how he asked me pretty much lol He knew I wanted all of our friends and family around for our engagement. He said he would have done it any day of the week, but he knew it meant a lot to me. So he proposed in front of all out friends and family at our joint birthday party at his mom's house. His nephew brought out a cake while everyone was singing happy birthday to us that read "will you marry me?" and he got down on one knee. It was truly great, and it meant so much to me to have everyone there. One of the most special things about our wedding is the date. October 24th 2020. We started dating "officially" on April, 24th 2014, therefore our wedding day is on our 6 and a half year anniversary. I knew I wanted an October wedding on a Saturday, so it just worked out perfectly. And I feel like this date just means that much more and isn't just a random day that we had to pick, it has a meaning behind it. With everything going on, I really didn't know if we were still going to have our big wedding on that day, but I am so happy that it still is. And we CANNOT wait!!”
