I was born and raised in the good ol’ peach state of Georgia where we say Y’all, Yes Ma’am, No Sir, God Bless You and Thank You! Ironnically, we never ate many peaches, except my Dad’s famous homemade peach cobbler. YUM!
I am a certified elementary regular and special education teacher. I taught for 7 years before deciding to go full time into wedding photography. There are days I miss the classroom, but I am so thankful that I followed my passion for photography and am able to wake up every day excited to go to work!
I am a 100% self taught photographer. I have been taking pictures since I was about 12 years old. I remember when I received my first digital camera for Christmas and crying from excitement. My nieces & nephews were my subjects for many years to help me grow into the photographer that I am now.
I can't start my day without a 40 oz iced protein coffee. The funny thing is, it took me 37 years before I could tolerate the taste. Now, its a daily essential!!
In my downtime, you may find me binging on Reeses Dark Chocolate while reading a good book or watching FRIENDS, Big Bang Theory or Hawaii Five-0.

I’m Jessica & I have had the joy of capturing people's memories professionally since 2012.
I believe in history and that we all write our own stories. I want to be the one to capture part of your story so that you can always remember it. There are so many chapters to our lives and creating timestamps to show our families decades from now is so very important, especially in this digital world!
I am a wedding photographer, a portrait photographer, and a boudoir photographer. I love that I can help illustrate the first official chapter of memories as spouses – I cry at just about every wedding I shoot (don't look at me during the first dances). And here is something crazy: I never thought I’d shoot boudoir and now it is a passion of mine! The empowerment, confidence and self-love that the session and images help people re-find is amazing.
And let me tell you I can honestly say that I love my job! I am so lucky be able to document moments in time for my clients. I think that everyone should exist in photos. It is the only way we will be able to pull deep from our memories when we are old and our family is asking about our lives. I hope that all of my clients have a truly amazing experience working with me – I am so grateful for those who have chosen me as their photographer and I sure hope they know that.
A little bit about me? I have 2 kids and they are amazing (and crazy and loud and eaters of all-the-food), I have a four legged child named Betty (she is a black Golden Doodle and is hilariously awkward), I love sushi but don’t get to eat it enough since moving back to NEPA, I could eat pizza every single day, & floating in the pool is a fantastic form of relaxation that I don't take the time to enjoy often enough. I love sunglasses & bags of all varieties. I collect cameras and I have way too much gear. And I feel like every time I talk to clients I say things that are wildly inappropriate without even knowing it – what can I say, it is truly a skill. Hey, I’m Kristy! I'm so glad you’re here! I’m a photographer, a wife, a friend, a mother, and the face behind the camera. Before photography, I was a nurse and a graphic designer. I spend my "free" time watching Chicago PD and Friends on repeat. If I could live in flip-flops, jeans and hoodies, I totally would. I'm a hugger, and can talk to anyone (the lady in line in front of me will know my life story before she finishes her check-out!). I'm sweet, with a whole lotta sass! I have a serious baked goods and iced coffee problem. So, if ya bring me a donut, we'll be best friends forever! I look forward to capturing your big day!

If you are considering using Mae + Co. Photography for your engagement or wedding, do not hesitate!!!!! My husband and I can not say enough about our entire experience with Mae. We initially found Mae from her website. After seeing her incredible style, knowing that we truly wanted someone with a unique eye and feel, we didn’t hesitate. She was incredibly quick to respond to our initial inquiry, and send us the necessary information to help make our decision an easy one! Fortunately for us, she had our date available, and the rest is history! (Again, I cant stress enough to not hesitate to reserve your wedding date well in advance!)
We chose the package that also included an engagement session! We felt it was a really awesome opportunity to get comfortable with Mae and in front of the camera. From the moment we met, Mae was so incredibly warm, kind, and caring. She even helped me with my dress, and getting my hair in shape. Any nerves we had were quickly dissipated, as she is incredibly good at directing you, posing you, and communicating. By the time we got to the wedding just a few months later, we were already pros in front of the camera, and were able to quickly and easily get through all of the many wedding day photos. The photos are just breathtaking!
With Mae, there was hardly any lapse of time, before she was sharing sneak peeks with us, both through messages, and on social media! She is the gift that just keeps on giving! We still can not get over the quality of the photos and just the entire experience from start to finish. Everything is presented in such a beautiful, organized way, that is easily accessible to share with our friends and family.
Some of the biggest things that I can not stress enough, are Mae’s professionalism, organization, and talent. They are top notch and second to none. She helped us create our entire timeline for our wedding day, and went above and beyond to help us stick to it. We felt completely confident in her, and she did not stop hustling the entire day. “Do not second guess and book Maegan! A little back story, me and my now husband booked another local photographer not really knowing the importance of your wedding photos. I came across Maegan from a high school friend and her engagement photos and i died. I needed Maegan to do our wedding photos. It took alot of convincing to lose a very large down deposit with the other photographer but it was worth every penny.
We first meet Maegan for our engagement photos and we loved as she took control as we had no idea and were nervous. Mae & Co. was the very first photographer that caught my eye. As I was searching google, her moody/woodsy/enchanting photos were breathtaking and just what I envisioned my own wedding looking like. The main thing I told myself is "you get what you pay for." I did NOT want to skimp on my wedding photos, and I truly feel that if you are going to splurge on one thing for your wedding, it should be your pictures. Mae and her assistant, Krysta, did not disappoint. They were very professional and Mae provided me with a timeline before the wedding which helped all the vendors and my wedding coordinator to be on the same page. It was a relief to have a breakdown on things, and to keep track of time the day of so we weren't running behind. Our pictures are absolutely gorgeous and we were provided with so many photos!
